It was only 7 days ago that my mother passed away, She had a very short battle with cancer and decided not to stay. Fortunately before she left us she had 2 months to wrap things up, We saw that as a positive gift not everyone has that luck. Mum got her paperwork in order and prepared Dad for single life, She had always been the homemaker, the working mother and good wife. Our Mum was always known for her massive collection of owls, From hundreds of ornaments, picture frames, to owl print kitchen towels. Most have been donated to charities as too much for Dad to dust, But all the owl items sold will create funding for cancer trust. My Mum was always there for me my hero and best friend, She was brave to accept her life cut short and was a fighter to the end. I did not get to see my mother during her last final days, I respected she wanted no fussing, she always got her ways. So I proudly remember my mother for the amazing strong woman she was, She’s now in a place filled with light and love a star shining in the cosmos. Love you mum, see you on the other side.
